BATMAN & ROBIN ART Cubist Paintings by Tommervik

WOW! There's some Batman-inspired artwork on eBay right now that I am totally loving! The artist's name is TOMMERVIK & his work is amazing! He does oil paintings of Batman and Robin in a cubist style & the color palette is completely beautiful. He also sells older pieces as a Giclee Art Print ( "Robin" example shown at bottom ). The "giclee" process is basically an art print made with an extremely high-end printer, very nice quality. Personally I would prefer the actual paintings...they're GREAT!

Rare 1960's BATMAN 45 rpm RECORD ALBUM with Bob Kane

Shown here is an old advertisement for a special BATMAN 45 rpm RECORD that was "supposedly written" by Bob Kane, the "creator" of Batman. This ad appeared in the back of comic books in the late 1960's. Bob Kane wrote the main song "Have Faith in Me". It was performed by Hank Leids & the Bat-Group COURAGE. The song on the B-Side was titled "You've Got Me Crying". As a BONUS, when you bought this record, you also got a 4 X 5 photo of Bob Kane sitting in the original Batmobile Car, signed by him of course! This product was published by Downing Records. Now, I'm wondering... has anyone EVER seen this record or the autographed photo? It's gotta be super-RARE as, in my 20+ years of obsessive bat-collecting, I have NEVER ever seen it! If anyone has a photo of this rare gem I would appreciate you sending a pic of it to share. Remember, the Bat-Blog is ALL ABOUT the love of collecting Batman Memorabilia!!

PLOP! Vintage 1970's Humor Comic Book - Funny Batman Strip

When I was a little kid I used to totally love a special DC Comic Book titled, "PLOP! The Magazine of Weird Humor!" It had silly goofy horror humor & always featured really great artwork. Speaking of that, the covers were usually drawn by Basil Wolverton or Wallace Wood. The insides were mostly drawn by Sergio Anagones & that probably made me think of Mad Magazine since he was mainly known for being an artist there. Anyway, I would take my money I earned mowing lawns or what ever & walk a few blocks to the nearest 7-Eleven store. Once there I would get a Candy Bar, some Topps Non-Sport Trading Cards ( Wacky Packages! ), & a few Comic Books...sometimes an Icee Drink, if it was hot outside. It's kind of a stupid thing but these little trips are now some of my most fond childhood memories. I remember the feel of my fingers as they grabbed the metal spinning comic book rack. You'd give it a turn & it would make this squeeking sound that I can still hear today, "squeek, squeek!". When you spun the rack around you never knew what treasures would pop-up. I would mostly buy Superman, Batman, The Justice League of America, & sometimes an issue of PLOP! Yeah, good times, good times. Oh yeah, be sure to click on the funny Batman "Comic Strip" up above for a larger, more detailed, version.

BATMAN & JOKER NOTEBOOK & VIDEO GAME CONSOLE SKINS

There's a new Batman Product that everybody is going totally crazy over, but is actually kinda hard to find, & that is these very cool "Batman & The Joker: Notebook & Video Game Console Skins". Basically they're a very high-quality vinyl sticker with custom graphics that you can use to cover your notebook or gaming console. They are made sort of like Post-It Notes where you can stick them on/off. A company called FATHEAD has made a few recently to tie-in with the Dark Knight Batman movie & they're pretty cool. I'm just showing a few examples here but overall they make them for the DS Lite ( Animated version ), 15" 16" 17" PC Laptop Computers ( The Heath Ledger Joker ), Playstation 3 PS3 ( 4 different TDK versions ), Nintendo Wii ( Joker ), PSP ( 2 Batman, 2 Joker ) & the XBox 360 ( Batman and Joker ). There might be some other formats at their website I have not listed & the only place to get them is there. Please use this link button to get there:

BATMAN FAN Creates Bat-Knuckles Weapon at School

I got an e-mail the other day from a female reader who said, "OK, so I go to a Vo-Tech School and I finished all my work early so I decided to use this time to work on my own personal piece. I designed and created it myself, out of metal using a band saw, drill, mill, and sanding belt...enjoy!"
WOW! Bat-Knuckles! Ummm, I don't think Batman would actually use these because they look pretty deadly, if ya ask me, ha ha! But the overall design is awesome!

Free BATMAN Desktop Backgrounds "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday"

The Bat-Blog is famous for it's "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" event that happens, you guessed it, every Wednesday! Ha Ha, this week I thought I would try to mix it up a little bit & have 3 wallpapers ( we usually post 2 ) because I'm all crazy like that. Plus, I wanted to mix it up another way & have them all be radically different...or as different as possible but still keep them all Batman-related, whew! So, HERE...WE...GO! The 1st one uses an amazing piece of "Heath Ledger The Dark Knight Joker" artwork that was submitted by a reader named DC Miller. His work is incredible & I knew it had to be presented as a wallpaper. In order to place the image on the right-hand side I had to flip it but it looks great! ( Thanks DC for sending the art ). The 2nd one is a photo of Adam West from the cover of the March 11th, 1966 Issue of LIFE Magazine. This image is totally iconic...a masterpiece! The last one uses what is probably the most recent version of Batman & that's the character from the new BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD cartoon. Please be sure to let me know which one you like the best plus please send a link to all your friends or talk about it on some message board ( we're always looking for new traffic ).

Have you seen these Batman Vending Machine Figures?

While surfing the internet the other day I came across this photo of some Batman Vending Machine Figures. There was absolutely NO information about these & I'm wondering if any readers know anything about them. I seriously don't remember ever seeing them before so I think they're totally new & maybe not even out yet. It looks like they're gonna have 7 pieces to collect: Modern Batman, Retro-Style Batman, Robin, The Joker, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, & The Penguin. If ya ask me, I think they look pretty AWESOME! If anyone has ANY info on these then please contact me...thanks.

Video: BATMAN VIRTUAL RIDE 3-D CGI Animation Demo

You might remember this video, I posted it here at the Bat-Blog about a year ago ( it's buried in the Bat-Archives now ). But a friend sent it to me recently & this one is a way better version, very nice quality! The basic story on it was that Blur Animation Studios created this CGI movie for Warner Bros to use in one of those "Virtual Ride" events at one of their Six Flags theme parks. It shows "you", as Batman, flying around Gotham City in a Bat-Jet chasing after many different villains like the Joker, Catwoman, & Mr. Freeze. I love the little Bat-Jet planes because they look a lot like the one from the 1989 movie. The video is extremely well done & is actually very fun to watch, enjoy!

Cool Japanese Batman Toys : Past & Present

As an obsessed Batman Toy Collector I totally love the "foreign stuff". A lot of collectors do because this merchandise, even with eBay's influence, never reaches the USA that often & when you come across it it's always super-RARE. I have always loved Japan & Japanese culture so to see bat-products made there has always been a treat. Here's just a few examples: The 1st photo is one of those wind-up figures of a "Movie Version Batman". From the look of it I would guess it was made during the "Batman Returns" period. I love the goofy look of this figure, it's great! The next item, this wonderful Batmobile Toy Car, came out during the 1992 Batman Returns movie. I love the graphics of the Bat-Signal shining over the skyline of Gotham City on the original box, very cool. The 3rd pic is something that's a little older because it came out during the first 1989 Batman Movie. They really went nuts merchandising that movie & even today there's a ton of products from that era. This wacky toy is a SOUND ARM Costume Piece. It was a bat-gadget thing you wore on your arm & it made a lot of different sounds. I bet it drove parents completely crazy with the bing bing boing boing sound-action, ha ha! The last photo is something that just came out maybe a year or two ago, in other words, it's pretty new. It's a pair of Batman Snow Boots. I always love the little kid's Batman slippers & shoes...they're so cute & great for display. Plus, if you don't buy them brand-new most of the time they're kinda hard to find on the "secondary market". Mainly because children totally wear them out! The graphics on this pair are AWESOME! I guess, as a last thing to say, if ANY Bat-Blog Readers have any photos of "foreign items" ( Both new or Vintage & not just from Japan, but from anywhere ) then please send them in to us. Remember, sharing the love of collecting is what the Bat-Blog is all about!

WEDNESDAY COMICS : A New Comic Book Format By DC Comics

According to a report at the Newsarama website DC Comics will be publishing a new comic book format that is basically like a set of large newspaper pages. "Wednesday Comics" will be 14" X 20" broadsheet-sized, 12-part series featuring 16 stories starring DC characters told in a “Sunday Comics” style. It will be a weekly series & they're bringing out some major writing & drawing talent for this project. Also, each character, like Batman for example, will get a full-page story. Here's a list of the amazing art talent working on this: Kyle Baker, Neil Gaiman, Mike Allred, Brian Azzarello, Paul Pope, Walt Simonson, Dave Bullock, Dave Gibbons, Ryan Sook, John Arcudi, Lee Bermejo, Joe Kubert, Ben Caldwell, Kurt Busiek, Eddie Berganza, Jimmy Palmiotti, Amanda Conner and Karl Kerschel. The characters will include: Hawkman, Batman, Adam Strange, Metamorpho, Catwoman, Demon, Deadman, Kamandi, Superman, Sgt. Rock, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Teen Titans, Supergirl, Flash and the Metal Men. Whew! This really sounds like a pretty cool idea. Let's wish DC Comics some success with this! Oh yeah, almost forgot, this will be coming out this summer...so look for it then or stay tuned with the Bat-Blog because we'll be reporting the release as soon as there is a date.

MY LITTLE PONY Custom Figures BATMAN, ROBIN, & BATGIRL!

I came across these the other day & knew I had to share them, they're totally hilarious! Here are a few MY LITTLE PONY Figures that have been completely customized to look like Batman, Robin, and Batgirl. These custom toys were made by an artist named Jodi K. Moisan & her work is extremely excellent! In fact, I wish that Hasbro would make these for real! She has done a ton of these & they are all really great but I thought I would focus on the Batman-related ones for this blog. But, if you're a comic book fan she also did many different Marvel Comics characters too & even some TV stars like Mr. T!

Confessions of a Superhero - Video Documentary Movie

Recently there was a Documentary Film I wanted to see but it had very limited distribution & I missed it. Well, I'm pretty happy to say that now it is on the Hulu website & you can watch it for free. It's about an 1 1/2 hours long & is pretty fun to watch. The basic story is about these 4 real-life people who make their living working as superheros on Hollywood Boulevard. I thought I should post it here because, besides being a very interesting movie, it has Batman as one of the characters. The four "actors" portray Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, & The Incredible Hulk. I should also add that Ghost Rider, Margot Kidder ( Lois Lane ), & Chewbacca make brief appearances. Here's a link button to check it out, enjoy. Oh yeah, I guess I should mention that since it has a slightly adult theme to it you will have to register with Hulu but it's not a big deal, you can do that in just 5 minutes.

Video: THE NEW ADVENTURES OF BATMAN AND ROBIN Filmation Featurette

Featured here in 2 parts is a special video featurette, sort of a mini-documentary, on the making of Filmation's THE NEW ADVENTURES OF BATMAN AND ROBIN Animated Cartoon TV Series. In the 1970's I really loved this show as a little kid & was very happy when Warner Bros released it as a DVD awhile back. Seeing this material again will for sure bring back fond memories to some readers of this blog while others, who have never seen this material, will be enlightened to this special time in Batman animation history. Seriously, it was a very fun TV show & needs to be seen to be appreciated.

BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM Limited Release Movie Soundtrack CD Coming Soon From La-La Land Records!

For people who have been reading the Bat-Blog for awhile you might remember a few months ago we introduced a new Batman product from La-La Land Records that was a special 2-CD set featuring the music soundtrack from the BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES TV Show. Well, that CD was a total success ( I think it totally sold out! ) & now La-La Land Records plans on releasing another Batman-related CD titled BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM. This, of course, was the animated film featuring the characters from the TV series. Back when this movie came out it was a complete smash hit & has now become a cult classic among fans of both Batman & animation. It was a really great film! Well, next Tuesday, at 12pm PST, La-La Land Records will start taking orders on the La-La Land website for this brand-new Limited Edition CD... Shirley Walker's complete score to the feature film BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM. Completely remastered and more than 27 minutes longer than the original CD release, this is the definitive version of Shirley's complete, amazing orchestral score. It will also contain a twenty page CD booklet that features in-depth liner notes! It will also be a Limited Edition of only 3000 units which means it will probably sell out like the others have. Please remember that you can only buy this product directly from the publisher & it will probably not be on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or other websites like that. Now, this is advance news from the Bat-Blog & the item is not featured on their website yet but you'll be able to see it there in a few days.( The release date is around March 24th, 2009 ). Video: Behind The Scenes of THE DARK KNIGHT "Why So Serious?" Viral Marketing Ad Campaign

Here a very cool mini-documentary following the viral marketing campaign for the Dark Knight Batman movie. Of course all Batman Fans remember all the hype this series of events created & it was highly successful. Personally I remember the total nightmare of having to stay on top of all of it to be able to report all the news here at the Bat-Blog, ha ha! But overall it was really a blast & I enjoyed it a lot! I just hope they do something like this again for the next movie because even though they NEVER came to my city ( my ONLY complaint ) they did give away some really great collectibles that they mailed to you. In fact, as I write this article, I can see my framed HARVEY DENT FOR DA Political Campaign Poster on the wall!

Sears Toy Catalog: Vintage 1970's Batmobile Batman Pedal Car

Oh man! I gotta say that Old Toy Catalogs are some of the very best reference material out there you can get. Here's a really great example. This is a page from the 1977 Sears Catalog showing the Batmobile Pedal Car. This thing is a beautiful piece of ART that deserves to be displayed in a museum! It's kinda funny how they show that one little kid hanging all over that lame Ferrari Race Car when we all know every little boy wants the Batman car! The other funny thing is the Batmobile only costs $39.99. Just click on the above photo to see the larger version of this picture, it's pretty sweet!

UNIVERSAL DESIGNS: Official Licensed BATMAN Movie Replica Outerwear

There is a brand-new company out there now that has just emerged that will be making Official Licensed Movie Replica Outerwear from the Batman Begins & The Dark Knight movies. The company is UNIVERSAL DESIGNS & they will be making Movie Replica Leather Jackets, Leather Pants, & Boots that totally look like the original Batman Bat-Suit Costumes worn by Christian Bale in the 2 mentioned movies. They are sort of being marketed right now as both costumes & motorcycle gear...we'll see. The attention to detail sounds totally insane so I bet these will be pretty popular. Shown here are some of the blueprint-style graphics they present for a few products. There are a few more pictures like this at their website & of course as soon as they release anything we'll let you know. Right now there are not any pictures of the actual product because it's all in the "developmental stages". But overall it sounds like a really great concept. BATMAN PARODY ARTWORK Comic Book Convention Sketches

Here are 2 wonderful pieces of original art I came across the other day while surfing the internet. The 1st one was drawn by Peter Laird. He's the co-creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! This was a drawing he did at a comic book con in 1987. It's a movie Alien Creature wearing Batman's costume & cowl! I think it's extremely awesome!! The next drawing ( which is also very awesome ) was done by Eric Talbot. I think he works at Mirage Studios, the company that cranks out artwork for the TMNT comics. It shows one of the Turtle characters dressed as the Dark Knight ...pretty funny!

Both of these are a perfect example. The 1st one was made by a friend named "Bacon" who used some graphics from the new graphic novel book titled THE JOKER. It was written by Brian Azzarello & has turned into a bestseller. The artwork ( used here ) was done by Lee Bermejo. His work is really amazing, a very talented guy. The 2nd background was sent to us by a girl named Danica. She took this photo of one of the Joker Bank Robber Goon Action Figures she has. Of course this is the character from the Dark Knight movie. It kinda cracks me up that Ironman ( from the movie ) makes an appearance. I wanna thank both Bacon & Danica for sending these in, they're really wonderful...good job! Oh yeah, for anybody looking for this JOKER Graphic Novel Book, please click on our button here to buy it from Amazon. We don't get much but every little bit helps keep this site going, thanks.

THE BATMAN ROOM - Decorating with The Dark Knight!

Recently we received some photos from a Bat-Blog Reader who has totally decorated her bathroom with a Batman Theme & it was extremely cool. Well, I guess another reader was sort of inspired to take some photos so he sent us these pictures of his "Bat-Room" ( or, I guess you could call it the "Bat-Cave", ha ha ). His name is Scott & he did a spare bedroom with a Batman theme. It's sort of a place where he displays some of his Batman Toys & Collectibles but it also looks like he has a few video game systems with a TV set up there too...sort of a "game room". Anyways, he did a really great job painting it in "Batman colors" & added a few framed posters. It also looks like he ordered some of those giant-sized Fathead Vinyl Stickers to attach to the wall too. They look awesome! I mean, the entire room is GREAT! Thank you Scott for sharing these wonderful pics. If any other readers have done some special decorating then please share too...our e-mail button is ALWAYS on the top right-hand side of this blog. Oh yeah, for anybody looking for the place to buy these HUGE Batman Fathead Stickers please use this link:

BATMAN AND ROBIN - A New Comic Book Title From DC Comics

Starting in June DC Comics will release a brand-new comic book titled BATMAN AND ROBIN. The series will start out being written by Grant Morrison & drawn by Frank Quitely. So, as sort of a celebration of this, I made these 2 new Desktop Wallpapers. The 1st one using the original artwork for the cover to issue # 1 & the 2nd graphic is what you'll see on the inside. The artwork is pretty amazing! I like the strange look of the highly-detailed thin line artwork, very nice! As more information becomes available we'll let you know the exact release date so stay tuned to the Bat-Blog! ( Thank you Brian for sending the pics ).

Here's a very interesting video from the 2009 TOY FAIR where a rep from Mattel shows off the cool function of the BATMOBILE / BAT-PLANE Toy Vehicle. It is, of course, from the new line of Batman: The Brave and The Bold Action Figures. It shows how it transforms from the car into the airplane...extremely cool! This toy is gonna be very popular with both little children & adult collectors!

FUNNY BATMAN HUMOR PHOTOS & Wacky Merchandise!

One of the things that I really love about doing the Bat-Blog is getting e-mails from readers around the world & they send me funny Batman photos & stuff. All of the above are recent examples & they're all very funny in their own way. Like the 1st photo, it's an actual piece of Batman Merchandise that was made a long time ago is really very rare. It's a Comedy Record Album titled THE ADVENTURES OF BATMAN & RUBIN ( The Jewish Boy Wonder ) with Allen & Rossi. You might recognize the bug-eyed Marty Allen. He was a very funny actor. The next item is a graphic that is a total parody of The Dark Knight movie poster with the three faces of Joker, Batman, & Two-Face. Well, except they are characters from The Simpsons, ha ha! The 3rd picture is a fan-favorite of this page where we show a Batman-themed Birthday Cake. But this one is totally THE JOKER, "Why So Serious?". The last photo was sent in by a friend from Europe who saw this store front sign in the UK. A letter fell from the sign of a business & now there's a new name... Batman's Opticians, ha ha! I wanna thank everybody who sent these. You know who you are & I do sincerely appreciate them all...thanks, we all need a good laugh every now & then!

Vintage 1940's Style BATMOBILE RIDING TOY CAR

There's a Batman Collector website I visit called BATMANIACO! It's written by a guy named Alberto who lives in Argentina. Now the thing is, I can not understand one single word written there...I just enjoy the photos, ha ha! I try to translate the page sometimes but it always just gets garbled up so I just end up enjoying the pictures. He has a pretty amazing Batman Toy collection. This is a perfect example! Here's a beautiful Batman Riding Toy Car that looks just like the 1940's Batmobile! Now, remember, I can't read anything there but I'm pretty sure this toy is custom & not production-made. But anyway...it's AWESOME!

PHOTOS: Vintage 1966 BATMAN TOYS & COLLECTIBLES

Today I thought I would get back to what the Bat-Blog does best & that is covering the old Vintage Batman Toys from the past. Here's a really nice assortment of items from the 1960's. In fact, most of these came out in 1966 to capitalize on the popularity of the '66 Batman TV Show. The 1st photo is an extremely RARE Batman Halloween Costume by the Berwick Company, for the British UK market. I love the retro-style artwork on the original box, nice! The 2nd piece of Bat-History is kinda goofy but also very desirable by many collectors because of it's rarity. It's an unopened package of Hallmark Birthday Gift Wrap! Oh man, the original retail price was only 25 cents, ha ha! The next item to drool over is the front & back of the Classic 1966 Batman & Joker Paddle Ball Game! You can find this toy sometimes, loose, out of the package, but here it's shown with the original retail bag & header card...most sweet! The last item is one of those Tin-Metal Bicycle License Plate Tags made by LOUIS MARX & CO, INC. This one with THE JOKER graphics is super-dooper rare! In the past I have seen these with Batman & Robin but I think they also made Penguin & Riddler ones too. Anyways, hope you liked some of these. If you have any super-rare Batman pieces to share then please send them in. The Bat-Blog is all about sharing the love of collecting both new & vintage bat-items, thanks.

Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday - Batman, Robin, The Joker, & Bank Robber Goon!

Yeah, that's right, you heard it. It's Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday™ again! We post a few quality Batman-related Wallpapers here at the Bat-Blog every single Wednesday. This week I'm very proud to say that all three Desktop Backgrounds you see here were sent in by two very creative Bat-Blog Members named Andrew & Hartter. Andrew did the one with Batman & Robin. He took some original comic book art that was black and white & added his own style of color to it. He always makes some really cool stuff. The other ones, with the Joker & the Bank Robber Goon ( The Dark Knight movie ), were done by Hartter. He drew these in his own unique style so you won't find them anywhere but here. I gotta say that all three of these backgrounds are really GREAT! I wanna personally thank both these guys for submitting this awesome material. I've said it once, I'll say it again: If the Bat-Blog is any good at all it's because the readers always send in such great material! Now I don't want that to sound trite or like I'm sucking up but here's the deal. When readers send in material it's always from left field. It's something that I wasn't thinking about at the time. When this happens it creates "variety" at this blog. Plus, most people send some really great stuff. I'm kinda going off right now because I never really get a chance to let readers know how much I appreciate that. Thank you, keep sending stuff in!

A friend over at MySpace, named DJ Krueger, sent me this very cool music video he did as a tribute to the 1990's Batman: The Animated Series. He wrote this rap song & the words actually match the action on the opening credits pretty good! ( Thanks DJ for sending it to me, I know everybody will love it! ).

This message is a shout out to all the Bat-Blog Readers who live in, or around, the UK. I was contacted recently by the PR Firm handling the release of the Arkham Asylum Video Game. They are looking for Batman Collectors who are willing to donate "Batman Items" for a special exhibit in conjunction with a special Arkham Asylum Release Party. They wrote:

We are on the hunt for Batman memorabilia and are requesting all Batman collectors or fans possessing key items to get in touch. This can be anything from original artwork, toys, comics, film props, listings and general merchandise. We are hoping to loan the items with a view of displaying them at a potential exhibition.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!! ( THE CAT IN THE HAT Wallpaper )

I know this is totally off-topic for a Batman Fan blog but I wanted to take this moment to honor Theodor Seuss Geisel, or Dr. Seuss, who would have been 105 years old today. All of his books will always remain total literary classics. There are way too many to list: The Cat In The Hat, Green Eggs & Ham, The Butter Battle Book, And To Think I Saw it On Mulberry Street, Fox in Socks, The Foot Book, Horton Hears a Who, Hop On Pop, and many many more! The "Cat In The Hat" graphic down below & the Black and White Photo of Dr. Seuss are actually Desktop Wallpapers you can use today to honor this great man, please do so. He has taught millions of children all over the world the joy of reading. He's a National Treasure & we will always be in his debt. Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!!

Video: "The Greatest Fan Film of All Time" Comic Book Superhero Animated Movie

"The Greatest Fan Film of All Time" is a sequel to "Batman's Gonna Get Shot in the Face". The primary filmmakers are Jacob Drake, who animates the projects, and Larry Longstreth, who does everything from writing to producing the recording sessions and casting the roles. The film stars PAUL MOLNAR as THE JOKER, VINCE BRUNO as BATMAN, LARRY LONGSTRETH as SUPERMAN, AARON LONGSTRETH as THE HULK, and tons more. The story is really good & there are many different moments in the film that are edited, or done, extremely well. I like the "Nightwing on the rooftops" sequence & when The Joker uses his hand to "walk on top of Gotham City buildings" is pretty clever. The fan-film even makes a few references to the classic 1970's Superman Movies that you'll see right away. Also, there's a ton of superhero characters here both from DC & Marvel Comics. I guess I gotta mention that there are TV Cartoon characters as well. It seems like hundreds, ha ha! Overall, if you're a comic book fan, then you'll love it!

Mr. Anderson's BATMAN BATMOBILE TOY CAR Collection!

A Bat-Blog Reader named "Mr. Anderson" sent us some nice photos of his Batman Batmobile Car Collection. OK, He has a few action figures & bat-merchandise that are NOT Batmobiles but the main focus is the famous car. While checking out the pictures I noticed he had a black Kenner Superpowers Batmobile ( the original one is bright blue ). I asked what that was about & he said it's a car he's customizing. Wow, that's a cool idea! Overall there's some really great items here & the start of an awesome collection. There are so many Vintage Batmobile Toys out there, & also brand-new toys coming out, that you should be able to stay busy for a very long time! Thanks for sharing your collection with us, that's great! If any other readers have some photos to share ( their collection or anything Batman-related ) then please send them in to us. Our e-mail button is always on the top right-hand side of this page. Sharing the love of collecting Batman stuff is what this site is all about!

TATTOO ART: Special BATMAN and ROBIN Photos

I recently met a guy who's such a HUGE Batman Fan that he not only got 2 Batman & Robin Tattoos but he also named his son "Bruce Wayne", seriously! Now, that's some dedication right there! Bruce looks like a really cute kid. He's got the "I'm Batman & I'm mad" look on his face, that's funny! He's shown here with his Dad in the picture with the Life-Size Batman Statue made out of Lego bricks. Also pictured are the 2 extremely AWESOME Bat-Tats. There is one Batman on one arm & Robin on the other. Oh yeah, and just to clarify, the DAD got the tattoos, not the kid, ha ha! I wanna thank Jim for letting me post these photos, I appreciate that. The tattoos are really great & it's so cool that your son is a Batman Fan too. That's a nice story.

BATMAN'S BAT-UTILITY BELT SCHEMATIC - Flash Animation

Here's something that's so extremely cool I knew I had to share it with you guys. Our friend Reis, who is a Graphic Designer & writes the Geek Orthodox blog, is taking a Flash Animation Class at school. For one of his assignments he was told to create some kind of "schematic or blueprint" that was interactive plus it needed to explain the function of an item. So, he chose Batman's Bat-Utility Belt! It shows what all the compartments are & where Batman stores his various crime-fighting tools. You'll see where batman keeps his Grappling Hook Gun, Bat-Cuffs, Smoke Bombs, Bat-a-rangs, etc...He did it with the idea of, "What if the Cartoon Network hired me to do this for their Batman: The Brave and The Bold website?". For my example I'm showing a few pictures here, to give you an idea what it looks like, but if you click the "BATMAN UTILITY BELT" button down below you can experience the actual Flash Animation. Be sure to do so because it's extremely cool!

THE BATMAN BATHROOM Wacky Home Improvement

I got a lovely e-mail the other day from a friend over at Facebook. Her name is Billie & she said she decorated her bathroom in a Batman-Theme. She asked if I would like to see it & I'm like, "Heck Yeah!" Well, the Bat-Room is even better than I thought it would be! A friend of hers gave her some old Vintage Wallpaper that has a 1970's DC Comics Superhero motif. She only had enough to do one wall but it still looks great! She also custom-built ( or her friend did ) these 2 Batman Towel Racks...how AWESOME are those?! There's even a few Batman things laying around like Bat-Soap, Bat-Shampoo, Bat-Rug, that kinda thing. Plus, another of her creative friends painted the door with a skyline of Gotham City & the urgent Bat-Signal...WOW! Thank you Billie for sending us these wonderful photos. This is the coolest bathroom I have ever seen, seriously! As a side note I wanna let my readers know that the 4th photo of the "Superhero Wallpaper" is actually a "Desktop Wallpaper" you can use as a background. So, click on that to open it, then save as wallpaper, & Bam! You can have some of her wallpaper on your computer!

Original Batman and Riddler Art By Dean Verge!

I really like these 2 Batman Drawings I got in my e-mail box the other day & just had to share them. They're done by a Bat-Blog Reader named Dean Verge. As you can tell he really likes Batman & that's cool! Now, even thought I think both of these are really good, the one of the Riddler is my total favorite! It kind of reminds me of the art of Jim Aparo, a Silver-Age Classic! Thank you Dean for sending these in & keep up the good work. I wanna invite ALL Bat-Blog Readers to send us ANY Batman material, any time, thanks!
