1966 BATMAN TV BATMOBILE Makes an Appearance for School Fundraiser in Kenilworth, New Jersey
OK, Here's a heart-warming story that we always love to hear about. Check out these fun photos from a recent event that happened in Kenilworth, New Jersey. Our good friends Louie, Anna Marie, BatDave and Buster (The Bathound!) showed up with a 1966 Batmobile Replica Car and entertained the crowd at a Car Show / Bake Sale that helped raise funds for the local St. Theresa's School.
The event was organized by current Kenilworth Police Chief Kenneth Grady and Sister Emy (short for Emily) who both appear in a few of the attached pics. They asked if Louie & his wife AnnaMarie could showcase their 1966 Batmobile replica to help raise money for St. Theresa's School, with all of the money going towards school supplies and basic educational needs for the children.
Long story short, both Louie and AnnaMarie said, "yes!", and Sister Emy and Chief Grady both got a complimentary ride thru downtown Kenilworth courtesy of Batmobile Louie. The fun thing was that there were a lot of children in attendance and they were all delighted by the silly antics of Buster, the Bat-Hound!

It's a part of their "Wacky Pack" Kid's Meal and features some cool new DC Comics JUSTICE LEAGUE "Tater Tot" Plush Toys. The characters include Batman and the Joker, Green Lantern and Sinestro, plus Wonder Woman and the Cheetah! Hey, you know which 2 will be MINE, ha ha! ( Thanks Jeremiah )
As a side note: This toy looks really BIG in the photo... but if they're anything like the ones they made a year or two ago they are very small, ha!

BATMAN! Vintage 1960's Newspaper Ad For ANDY WARHOL'S PLASTIC INEVITABLE SHOW
FLIP OUT! SKIP OUT! TRIP OUT! Here's a fun piece of Bat-History that could also be categorized as "Art History" too. This is a vintage advertisement for a Rock Show "Scene" that appeared in a New York City Newspaper back in the 1960's. It was promoted by Andy Warhol and featured his promo band, The Velvet Underground. I'm sure the show was a complete success!
Why am I featuring this here? Well, check out the clip art they used, ha!
Anton's THE JOKER Batman Tattoo Art HEATH LEDGER TRIBUTE

Very cool, thanks for sharing this fun pic Anton & the artwork is awesome!

BATMAN COMIC BOOK ART WALL MURAL By Gabor DanĂ³ from Hungary
Check out this beautiful BATMAN WALL MURAL painted by our friend, Gabor DanĂ³. He is an Artist living in Hungary who recently painted this giant-size BATMAN graphic on his wall. I remember this comic book cover when it came out and it's a great choice for a mural, very iconic. Plus, our friend did a really great job on it.
You can see him with his art in the first photo and the other photos show sort of a progression of the painting in progress, great stuff! ( Thanks Gabor, keep up the good work! )
BATMAN and His 1966 BATMOBILE CAR Spotted in Northern Virginia - Photographic Proof!
These fun photos were contributed by a Bat-Blog Fan named Matt who saw this event happen in Northern VA ( right outside of DC ) on a recent Saturday afternoon. Matt wrote,
"My wife and I were on our way home when we noticed a bunch of people pointing and shouting at a Gas Station. We pulled in to check it out and came across this scene. I’m pretty sure it is Leonard Robinson, a wealthy businessman who dresses up as Batman and visits children in area hospitals - an amazing guy! He attracted quite a crowd and was extremely kind and gracious to all the onlookers, posing for pictures and handing out little Batman trinkets to the kids. In any case, it was all quite surreal and very cool to see! Thought you might enjoy these pictures. Thanks!"
No, Thank you Matt, these are some extremely wonderful photos. You got some great pics! Oh man, this must have been so fun to witness & thanks again for sharing these pics.

Photos From 2013 OTTAWA COMIC CON - BATMAN TV 1966 Batmobile, Burt Ward, and Julie Newmar!
Check out these crazy-amazing photos sent to us by our good friend "Firefighter Jeff". He is the lucky owner of a 1966 Batmobile Replica Car and is also a member of the "Gotham City Super Cars" Club in New Jersey.
This year his car was the "Official Batmobile" of the 2013 OTTAWA COMIC CON in Canada. Which, was held recently on May 10th through the 12th.
The amazing thing was that Jeff got to hang out all weekend with Julie Newmar ( Catwoman ) & Burt Ward ( Robin, The Boy Wonder ). Yes, all weekend long they were special guests at the event and Adam West was suppose to be there too but had to cancel because of a minor fractured spine ( We wish him a speedy recovery).
But hey, back to Jeff's adventure, ha! His car was the hit of the show and everything went well. Remember, he had to transport this car, on a trailer, ALL the way to Canada!
So please enjoy the photos. My favorite one is the pic where Burt Ward is sitting in the passenger seat, his old spot when he was on the classic TV show... that's funny! ( It's the 1st one, down below ). Oh yeah, that's Jeff as "Batman" in the last photo with Darth Vader, ha!
Also, a special thanks to Firefighter Jeff and BatDave for sharing these incredible pics.

Roy's BATMAN SUPER FRIENDS TV SHOW TATTOO Art Photo
One wacky feature of the Bat-Blog is posting fun photos of people's Batman-related Tattoo Art. It's kind of interesting to see all the different styles & variations. Plus, we also enjoy the diversity of the choices. So, here we go!
Check out these awesome photos from a friend in Canada named Roy. He recently honored the character with a Tattoo that borrows artwork from the 1970's SUPER FRIENDS Animated TV Series. I totally loved this cartoon as a little kid and the graphic style of the show was really cool! Hey, it was designed by Alex Toth.
So, Thank you Roy for sharing your tattoo art with us, I always appreciate that & it looks great!

HELP OKLAHOMA - Please Donate Today To The American Red Cross
I know this site is all about the BATMAN Character and other fun stuff like Toy Collecting, but I would appreciate it if everyone would please let me make this short statement.
Now, I would say that most people who enjoy this site have no idea who I am or where I am from, ha! But I live in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and if you have been watching any of the national (and world) TV news then you know about the major tornado event that happened recently in Oklahoma.
Most of the devastation happened in a city called Moore and, the scary thing for me personally, is that I live about a 5 or 10 minute car ride from there. This event happened really close to me, it's was scary to say the least! The good news is that my family and I are completely OK and the storm only got THAT close, whew! It was pretty stressful.
Anyway, yesterday I got the chance to see first hand, in real-life, what had happened. I saw trucks and cars completely upside down. I saw houses ( homes ) and buildings just completely destroyed. We're talking about entire neighborhoods just completely wiped off the earth! I know a few people who, not only lost their place to live, but also lost all of their life-long possessions. It's a very sad deal. Then the most important loss of all were lives that were taken. It's been a very tragic event but the people of Oklahoma have proved to be caring and are working together to rebuild.
So, I'm asking ALL Bat-Blog Readers to please donate whatever you can to the American Red Cross. This charitable organization is amazing and they are ALWAYS the very first to arrive and the very last ones to leave. They do great work. Even if all you can afford is "one dollar" then please send it. I mean, every little bit adds up and makes a difference.
Also, if you can't donate any money - Then please spread the word about their site on your social media like Twitter or Facebook. Gettig the news out there helps a bunch too. Thank you. It's REDCROSS.ORG
AMERICAN RED CROSS Click Here to Donate!
You can also text "REDCROSS" to 90999 & automatically give 10 dollars!
Also, I saw this post by Adam West yesterday on facebook and, as an Oklahoman it made me pretty proud. Thank you Mr. West. Well said Sir.
