BEWARE THE BATMAN - New TV Episode #4 WALLPAPERS!

The next brand-new episode ( #4 ) of BEWARE THE BATMAN is titled, “SAFE”, and it airs this Saturday, August 3rd, 2013, at 10:00am ET ( 9:00 Central ). It looks like they are introducing another new Bat-Villain to the show! This is pretty cool!

So, to celebrate here are a few BATMAN WALLPAPERS that I created this morning just so you can brighten your PC Desktop. Enjoy. Oh yeah, here's some MORE!

More CLASSIC 1966 BATMAN TV SERIES Toy Madness!

We just got done doing a report on a few brand-new "Classic 1966 Batman TV Series" Toys and Collectibles that will be hitting the stores later this year. Then, sort of last minute, I came across this photo of another piece of Bat-Merchandise.

This is a pair of Bobble-Head Nodders in the form of Adam West and Burt Ward's BATMAN and ROBIN, THE BOY WONDER. The Advertising Plaque says they can be displayed sitting on a shelf or hung on the wall. In fact, their bases look like a "building". This is the iconic "scaling a wall" scene that used to appear on the show.

Now, I'm not exactly sure of the toy company making these but from their "look" and the fact they're calling them "Head Knockers", I'm guessing these will be made by NECA. We'll have to see. The Plaque also reads, "Coming October 2013".

NEW TOYS - Classic 1966 BATMAN TV Series Collectibles Spotted at the 2013 SDCC!

OK, for the 1 or 2 people who don't know what "SDCC" means, it's the "San Diego Comic Con". Our good friend, John Whitt, who is also a very excellent BATMAN Cosplayer, went to the event and took some great pics that he was also kind enough to share with us right now. You can see him in the very first photo up above. He said he was walking by the NECA TOYS Booth when all of a sudden somebody said something like, "Hey, can you come over here a second so I can take a pic?".

John did, and then the guy walked him over to a display case that had their brand-new "BATMAN Adam West Figure and took it out! How funny, what a great story. Plus, he got to hold a toy no body else has got to touch (jealous!).

Then, while roaming around the show John came across some other "Classic 1966 BATMAN" items that he (and us too) have never seen yet.

First up is this amazing "ADAM WEST" Hallmark Christmas Ornament for 2014. It's Adam West as he appeared on the cover to a 1960's TIME Magazine ( we found a pic of that publication to show as an example ).
It's a very famous pose and this image is also, actually, very iconic. Cool!

Then, in another booth, he also saw this brand-new "Classic BATMAN TV" Statue that will be coming out in the Winter of 2014. It's a large bust of Adam West as he appeared on the show. It's gonna have a retail price of about $70.00. Plus, I totally love it!

(Thanks John for sharing these great products and your funny story too).

RADIO FRANCHI - Enter The Classic 1966 BATMAN TV Series Poster Contest!

This post is mostly a shout-out for a good friend of ours named Christopher Franchi. He's a Graphic Artist living in Detroit who has branched out into broadcasting and now has a show called, "Radio Franchi". It airs every WEDNESDAY NIGHT from 7:00 to 9:00pm EST for the latest live show, and then you can hear the replay on FRIDAYS at 11:00am EST. It will also be available soon on their official website later as a free download. You can check that out by clicking this link right here, RADIO FRANCHI.

OK, Now here's the deal. Here is how this post is "Batman-related". Like I said, Chris is a Graphic Artist and he is running a contest with his Radio Show where they're giving away one of his Classic 1966 BATMAN TV Series Art Prints. Yes, you can see it up above in the graphic, on the left. The artwork is totally amazing!! Also, it measures about 17" X 22" so it's a very large-sized print, very nice. You can see it in slightly better detail if you click on the above graphic for a larger version.

As a side-note: I would like to mention that Christopher also designed the BAT-BLOG.COM Header up top that you see every day.

Anyway, the contest rules go sort of like this:
Listen to the  RADIO FRANCHI episode on July 31st, 2013 and sometime between 7:00 and 9:00 you will be prompted to call-in to the show. Once you're on, you will be asked a Batman Trivia question, and if you get the answer right, then you're a Winner! Yes, it's that easy... so, Good Luck!

Just listen at RAWRADIOX.COM and call (313) 462-0107.

FREE BATMAN WALLPAPERS - The Dark Knight JOKER and BEWARE THE BATMAN Batmobile

It's been awhile since I posted some BATMAN WALLPAPERS so here we go! Well, the main reason I was inspired to do so was because a Bat-Blog Fan, named Pat, sent us this one he made that is sort of a parody of the movie poster for the classic film, Escape From Alcatraz. Except, he put the Joker from the Dark Knight movie instead... cool!!

Then, for "something new", I thought I'd post this image of Batman driving his Batmobile with extreme intensity! Yes, this is from the current BEWARE THE BATMAN animated series that is on the Cartoon Network right now.

Hey, I hope you enjoy both these wallpapers and use them to brighten the background on your desktop! If not, please be sure to check the BAT-ARCHIVES located at the lower left-side of this page for a TON of other Batman-themed Wallpapers!

2013 SDCC - Classic 1966 BATMAN TV Series Model Kit by Moebius Models with Original Box Art!

OK, there are TWO great things about this photo and one of them I'm really proud of. First, we finally get to see what Moebius Models is doing with their brand-new line of Classic 1966 BATMAN TV Series Model kits.

Here, they show the Adam West figure. Oh man, this thing is a total Art Masterpiece!! I would have killed for this model when I was a little kid, ha!

Then, speaking of "Art Masterpiece", check out (to the right), the original BOX ART that was done by our good friend Christopher Franchi. Please click on the pic here for a larger, sharper, version.

Yeah, we know the guy who did this art. (He created the super-awesome BAT-BLOG HEADER that you see at the top of this page!!) His artwork is extremely detailed and always professionally well done. In fact, this box art is so amazing that it's kind of a shame that they will add all sorts of bar codes and lettering all over it later, ha ha! All kidding aside, the finished product will probably look great too.

The only product details we have right now is that it will come out in the last quarter of 2013 and will have a Suggested Retail Price of about $32.99.

Also, Stay tuned to the Bat-Blog and we'll keep you posted on more Model Kits that are coming out!

Here's the list so far: The Joker, Egghead, Catwoman, Mr. Freeze, The Riddler, and even Shame. Is that him? It's hard to tell but the toy figure in this pic does look just like a "Cowboy Guy". Wow! Now how obscure is that?!

BEWARE THE BATMAN - TV Show Video Clip From Warner Bros Animation

While surfing the Internet the other night i came across this exclusive promo video clip from the new BEWARE THE BATMAN animated TV Series. It shows the Bat-Cave in really great detail, especially the way the Bat-Computer is set-up! We also get a great view of the new Batmobile Car and the "new" Alfred as well.

OK, only one episode has been out so far (last Saturday) and I'm still holding on to my personal opinion about this show for a little while. What I'm doing is giving the creative team there a chance to show what they got. I'm hopeful that this new show will turn out to be really good. So far, I have to admit that even though there are a few tiny things I don't like, that it is pretty interesting. Well see. I think it's only going to improve.
