1966 BATMAN AND ROBIN Parody - Beetle Bailey Comic Strip

I wanna thank Jimmy for sending us this photo. It's a scan of an old 60's newspaper comic strip ( Be sure to click on the small graphic up above for a larger, more readable, version ). Of course we all know Mort Walker's Beetle Bailey. I have always loved his artwork & special graphic style. Anyway, I guess that the Batman TV Show was such a hit that in 1966 Mort Walker did a parody of it in his work. The comic strip starts out with Sergeant Snorkel sleeping & having a dream that he & Beetle Bailey are "FATMAN AND SLOBBER!" Ha Ha, Great stuff! Thanks again Jimmy..."To The Fatmobile!"

Sarge often had "parody" dreams in those days. I remember his 007 dream, "Thunderbelly'.
