In a few months from now, September 27th, 2015 to be exact, LEGO TOYS has plans to release a brand-new Video Game called " LEGO DIMENSIONS" that will feature Batman among many other movie properties. It's gonna be available for the PS3, PS4, XBOX ONE, XBOX 360, Wii, and will also come with a "Starter Pack" that will include a few figures and enough bricks to make a "Time Portal Tunnel". Be sure to check out the movie trailer down below, it looks pretty FUN! Here's the basic storyline:
"When a mysterious and powerful vortex suddenly appears in various LEGO worlds, different characters from DC Comics, The Lord of the Rings and The LEGO Movie are swept away. Batman Fans who love to collect fast food toys should be both excited, and bummed out, to know that right now, as we speak, they are giving away "Justice League" Mega Box Premiums in Brazil! Their traslation of the name is "Liga Da Justica". How cool is that?! I say "bummed out" because these toys, which are actually "Plastic Storage Boxes" (Pencil Cases?), are only available at the Burger King Restaurants in Brazil and a few other Latin American Countries, and not in the United States. But, hey! They look pretty cool and you can collect Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, and Wonder Woman. I bet these show-up on eBay soon so keep an eye out. Also, if you know someone who lives there, you can bug them to go eat there, ha!
JPosters (Argentina) recently leaked a photo of Ben Affleck as Batman from the BATMAN V SUPERMAN movie. Is this the very 1st picture we have seen in real color?? Hey, he looks pretty good. He's a more bulky version, sort of like one from the Frank Miller comic books/graphic novel.

With the success of the BATMAN: ARKHAM TRILOGY Video Game Property DC Comics has released a small series of in-continuity comic books that are a prequel to the events of next game, Batman: Arkham Knight. They're available as both Digital Comics LINK and they will also appear in stores. Shown here are a few examples of the cover art and I gotta say the artwork is pretty awesome!

This is just a quick post to share this "screen test" photo of Jared Leto as the JOKER in the new Suicide Squad movie (Warner Bros). This film currently has a release date of August 5th, 2016 so we're gonna have to wait awhile before we get to see it. I'm also waiting until then to develop any opinion on it. But, I hope it turns out to be really great!
Here's a quick post to share a brand-new photo showing what the Actor Jared Leto will look like as THE JOKER in the new SUICIDE SQUAD movie. I think he looks awesome and is a fresh modern-day version of the character. But, I know there will be a bunch of crybabies out there that will want to complain and pick it to death. Here's my take on the whole issue: Please, please give Jared Leto a chance to prove he can do a good or bad job of portraying the character and hold your opinion until AFTER you see the movie. Who knows? He might nail it just like Heath Ledger did in the Dark Knight Trilogy and like Jack Nicholson did before him. Personally, I love all the different variety.
Here's some kickass graphic art I knew I had to share. here are 2 posters which were a special give-away at a recent IMAX event for the BATMAN V SUPERMAN Trailer. I would totally kill to get some of these but nobody even knew that Warner Bros were gonna give these out, ha! The artwork is pretty cool with them having a sort of Street-Grafitti style.
Here's an extremely well done parody of the brand-new BATMAN V SUPERMAN movie trailer. They used the original audio but replaced the visuals with older retro-style versions of the characters. In this video we get to see Christopher Reeve as Superman and Adam West's version of Batman.... AWESOME!
The BAT-BLOG is pretty famous for featuring Batman Tattoo Art. It all started with me just sharing a photo of a nice Bat-Tat that I randomly came across. I shared it because I thought it had a cool "Graphic Art" angle. But then what happened was I started to get a ton of submissions from various fans of the site. They had all recently got some ink done & decided to share. It's one of those wonderful accidents that happen when you are engaged in blogging. I love the personal side of my blog, the way I am connected with people. So, I'm always incredibly grateful for submissions. It means that people enjoy an aspect of the site and want to be involved. It also adds some variety to my posts and creates some magic. Like they say, "Variety is the spice of life". Here's a tattoo sent in to us the other night and this guy was inspired by Jim Lee's artwork that appeared inside the now super-famous HUSH Graphic Novel. The colors are sharp and bright, very well done. (Thank you for sending it in).

In the UK/England there is a popular Art Photographer known as "Roy's People" who arranges tiny plastic figures of everyday people in funny and/or amusing circumstances. He is having an art show, titled "Little Heroes", that opens in a few days at the CURIOUS DUKE GALLERY: LONDON. Up above is a piece that was inspired by BATMAN. It's a picture frame with a few 3-D elements, and of course some tiny plastic figures, showing a street scene where the man is casting a shadow of the Dark Knight. Then, here is another example of his work.

Gordon Jackson, a 21 year old Industrial Design Student, has created what he thinks to be an actual Batman Bat-Suit. "Actual", like in the fact, that the suit is actually bullet-proof and can take some damage without hurting the person wearing it. Check out the video down below! Sony just released news that they will release a special "Limited-Edition BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT" Playstation 4 Console! It will be steel grey with a custom faceplate. Also, the controller will be silver as well.
They also have plans to sell the game packaged with a standard edition (black) console at the regular price.
Oh yeah, did I mention that there will be bonus download material? There will be a special "Scarecrow Nightmare Missions", Two New Skins (Justice League 3000 Batman and Classic 1966 TV Series Batman), and the B:AK Batmobile with a Classic TV Series Theme!
The Actor, Jared Leto (who will be playing the Joker in the new "Suicide Squad" live-action movie) just leaked a teaser photo on Twitter that kind of shows what his green "Joker hair" will look like. As a side note, it's kinda funny that the picture of him using a camera sort of reminds me of the famous "Killing Joke" Graphic Novel Book Cover, ha ha! Let's hope this movie is a huge surprise and turns out to be totally great, that would be awesome!
Here's some news that Batman Fans are gonna be really excited about! Moleskine and DC Comics have teamed-up to release the BATMAN Limited-Edition Sketchbook Collection. There are five (5) different versions.
Basically, it breaks down like this. There are 4 Moleskine editions with different "Batman" covers ($18.95 each) and then there is 1 special edition that has a Frank Miller "Dark Knight Returns" Design and it retails for $24.00. I guess we should mention that the 4 regular sketchbooks will be sold in retail stores ( like Barnes and Noble) and the "Frank Miller" version is only available online from MOLESKINE. OK, the other night I got this wonderful vintage photo in an email from a Bat-Blog Fan and I totally love it! I mean, once I saw it I knew it had to be shared with everybody because it is so... SO great! In fact, the pic was kinda big so I went ahead and made a 1440 X 900 Desktop Wallpaper out of it. So, if you like it please be sure to use it to brighten your desktop. Anyways, like I said, a friend of the site sent this. His name is Andre Ribeiro and he lives in Brazil. He has always been a huge Batman fan and he recently found this photo stored in some boxes. It is a family photo that was taken around 1977. Andre is standing next to "Batman" and his brother is near "Robin". It was at a party held at a military school in his country. Oh yeah, and it's SO AWESOME!! (Thank you Andre, love this pic!)
