Vintage 1980's BATMAN Chalkware Statue Figure

A friend of the Bat-Blog, named Michael, shared this nice set of photos the other day showing one of his favorite, or at least "most unusual", Batman pieces from his collection. It's a large Chalkware Statue of a Batman Figure. He said he bought it in 1989 at an Asian Curio Shop in Philadelphia. Of course this was around the time of the 1989 Batman movie & the world was in total Batmania! As you can see from the pics up above it's pretty awesome & has a cool "vintage look" about it. Personally, I love it & think it's a true work of ART! Thanks Michael for sending the pics, this is an awesome piece! As always, if any other Bat-Blog Readers have some fun Batman photos they want to share then please send them in!

When I lived in San Diego we would go across the border to Tia Juana and these and other similar statues would be at almost every vendor booth..Cheaply made (and cheap to purchase) I had mine about 6 months before my cat knocked it over, on the carpet mind you, and the ear broke off!
