The Joker's Weapon in The Dark Knight Batman Movie ( Heath Ledger ).

I know that later this year there are gonna be a lot of people working on some very cool costumes (for either comic book conventions or Halloween parties) of The Joker so I thought I would do this post to explain one of the weapon-props the Joker ( Heath Ledger ) uses in the movie. This is the famous scene in the movie trailer where the Joker is seen holding a gun. It's the gun he's shooting when he says, "HIT ME!". This weapon is a Smith & Wesson M-76 Submachine Gun. They make replicas which you can probably find on eBay. Or, if you have a small budget, just carry a knife. It's the preferred weapon of The Joker anyway!

That gun sounds hell awesome :P
. Oh and that handgun he uses on the truck where he shoots at the swat van, it looks like a custom semi-automatic handgun (dunno what though) or is it that same weapon in the "HIT ME" scene?.

The pistol he used was a Glock 18. Its a fully automatic 9 mil pistol.

I have been trying to find the make and model of the full auto pistol used by the Joker in The Dark Knight, It is not a Glock 18, all Glocks are black, the one used in the movie is a silver color, or possibly a two tone pistol. It looks to me like a Springfield Armory XD(M) 9mm. Anyone help with this?

I think the gun you're asking about is a Glock 17 (Converted to full-auto). Check out this website for more info:

The pistol used by the joker was a Glock 17 or 19 (Id have to watch the movie again) with the silver slide that you can buy aftermarket. a 1 inch longer barrel with compensator ports with a 33 round magazine fully auto.. Check out cool ways to trick out your glock at... www.rockyourglock.com
