Vintage 1960's KELLOGG'S FRUIT LOOPS Cereal Box with 1966 BATMAN PERISCOPE Offer!
Something that most of my readers don't know is that, besides being a HUGE Batman Fan & Collector, I also collect Vintage Cereal Boxes. I guess it's the childhood nostalgia & cool retro-graphics, but I really love them & they are extremely hard-to-find! My main focus are the ones from the 1960's & 1970's. Especially the 70's because that's when I was a little kid. But, I even buy some brand-new ones every now & then. Well, you can imagine my surprise when I opened my e-mail this morning & received not one, but two, amazing photos! A reader named James sent some extremely cool pictures ( front & back ) of the super-rare 1966 Kellogg's Fruit Loops Cereal Box with the Special Offer to get a Batman Periscope cereal premium toy!! This is a very RARE mail-away item. Oh my God!! James, are you trying to torture me?! Ha Ha! Thank you for sending these, I really appreciate that. They're totally amazing & the box is in great shape too. The vintage graphics are insane! It totally cracks me up that it cost only 60 cents, ha ha! I guess I should also mention that it's a very early example of Toucan Sam, the cereal's advertising icon mascot....too freakin' sweet! ( I added the screen-cap showing the premium toy from the original TV Commercial ). If any other readers have ANY Batman photos then please send them in. These vintage cereal box photos are an example of what makes Bat-Blog readers special, their ability to share the joy of collecting. Thanks! Oh yeah, James, I hate you for having this box & not me! ( Ha Ha, Just kidding, I kedd, I kedd! )

Great post. This was also my "Era". Lots of cool toys to send away for.
Does anyone remember when Cheerios had a Pan AM Boeing 747 model that you could fly around on a string? Probably about 1970-72. I'm looking for one...even a pic of the box would be great.
Thanks!, and happy collecting!
Yes I have a 1966 Batman Scope (mint) also. (Park Plastics, Linden NJ).
