I saw THE DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie & it's AMAZING!
Late last night, at midnight, I went to my local theater & viewed the new Dark Knight Batman movie!! OH MY GOD!!! I'm not kidding when I say this movie is a True Art Masterpiece! It was amazing. Every actor's performance was brilliant, especially Heath Ledger as The Joker. Heath Ledger took the Joker character to a whole new level & he simply deserves an Oscar for his performance. But, to be honest, so does every other actor on this film: Christian Bale ( Batman & Bruce Wayne ), Gary Oldman ( Lieutenant Jim Gordon ), Aaron Eckhart ( District Attorney Harvey Dent & Two-Face Villain ), Michael Caine ( Butler Alfred Pennyworth ), Morgan Freeman ( Lucius Fox ), & Maggie Gyllenhaal ( Rachel Dawes ), among others. It's also important to note that Christopher Nolan deserves a "Best Director" Oscar & The Dark Knight should get "Best Movie of The Year"! I know I sound kinda crazy but I'm totally serious when I say that if you're a true Batman Fan you will totally LOVE this movie...go see it tonight, twice!

I've already seen it...twice!
And that just isn't enough!
I've seen it three times. Not kidding!! First time I saw it, I went to see another showing right after I got out of the first showing. And then I saw it again earlier today..
Easily the best superhero movie this summer and one of the best of all time!! A legendary performance by all the casts.
I just got back from seeing this movie (had to drive two hours to see it) and it was far more than I could have ever expected. I'm relieved I could see it before anymore spoilers came through to me. Nolan is a genius and what spoilers were given to us to whet our appetites only seemed to add to the final experience.
I desparately want to talk about this movie and how it so well delivered but I don't want to give anything away. Suffice to say, everyone should see this asap and thank the bat gods that a worthy Batman/Joker movie has finally hit the screen to make us proud.
I'm chuffed with myself that I got my version IV Batman symbol a week earlier to the release before seeing the movie and am proud to be 'branded' with it, even moreso now that I've seen the masterpiece that is The Dark Knight - See my blog for bat tatt pics (I've put up some banners to the awesome bat-blog too).
I very rarely see movies more than once at the cinema but when this gets to my actual outback town next month, I'll be there on opening night. I think I saw Titanic a few times... the wife dragged me back, but I didn't mind 'cause I kinda dig it for some reason.
So much to rave on and love about this movie. Nearly twenty years after the disappointment of Burton's Batman we have this. Wow. I was overwhelmed a few times during the film and had to squeeze out a few man tears now and then. There's so much to absorb and get a grip of.
Again, wow.
grt blog - I'm looking for a close up of bats hand like in your header, any ideas appreaciated. thx
Batman Begins is my favorite superhero film but I didn't enjoy Dark Knight. I felt it was very tension-filled, but that was all. Just tension and tension and more tension and no fun. Not to say I wanted jokes, Begins didn't have jokes - but it did have fun moments, trying out the tumbler, the first tumbler chase, fun cool moments like the ninja training, feargas-batman. This didn't have any moments like that. Oh well.
SPOILER ALERT - SPOILER ALERT
Avert your eyes if you don't want spoilers!
Anonymous said there were no fun moments!? What the..? When leaving the film I thought it would be impossible for the negative nuts to dis the movie apart from minor plot quibbles and the like. There were heaps of nods and winks to the fanboys, they just weren't overly done as to take us 'out' of the movie.
Fun moments:
- The gliding scenes
- The shakedown and drop scenes
- Most of the Joker scenes
- A movie Batman finally gets WHITE eyes!
- A vague Catwoman reference
- The appearance of the Batpod and its moves
- The 'origin' stories of the Joker
This was a different movie to Begins. I'm not sure if this movie even gave reference to his parents' deaths. That was done and dusted in the first movie. This movie was about the heatbutting between Bats and Joker, amongst other things, and yes the tension was amazing.
