AD: Looking For Cool Christmas Gift Ideas?!

Vintage Batman Toy TV Commercial: THE BATMAN EXP BATMOBILE and ACTION FIGURES

Here's a pretty cool Vintage TV Commerical for the EXP BATMOBILE from The Batman cartoon. It also shows the Batman & Joker action Figures. These were made by Mattel™. I remember getting this Batman toy as a gift for my nephew last Christmas & that's why I posted it. So, if you're trying to come up with toy gift ideas for a Batman Fan then I can humbly suggest this cool toy....both kids & adults really love it!

Vintage 60's Toy Ad: BEND-A-BITTY BATMAN BENDY FIGURE

Here's a Vintage 1960's Toy Advertisement from a toy supply magazine where the toy company brags about how great their product is. Well, ok, it is a very very great toy, the super-cool BEND-A-BITTY BATMAN BENDY FIGURE! But, what I wanna know is this, if the ad says they have sold over one million of these then why are they so extremely super-hard to find, ha ha! The actual toy, in all it's beauty, is shown on the right. The magazine print ad is on the left & if you look real hard you can see that they made 4 different characters. I can't tell who they are but you know they had to have made a Robin. Who are the other ones? Anybody know? I'm guessing one of them has to be The Joker & maybe a Riddler or a Penguin???

Vintage Diecast Batman Toy: Corgi Juniors Batmobile, Bat-Boat, & Trailer

Made in Great Britain. Here's the very RARE & highly desirable CORGI JUNIORS BATMOBILE, BAT-BOAT, & TRAILER Die-Cast Vehicle Gift Set #3002. It's shown here MINT on original blister-bubble card...sweet! This was very recently on eBay & the last time I looked it was up to $500, wow! I seriously love the vintage retro-graphics. Plus, I love vintage toys from the UK so this is really cool.

Vintage 80's TV Commercial: Batman & Robin Christmas Shopping at Zayres

I ran this video last year around Christmas time but it's still one of my favorites. It's a Vintage 1980's TV Commercial for Zayre's Department Store. It's funny, the actors sort of try to act like Adam West & Burt Ward, plus the costumes are great! There is also a very cool Batmobile replica car...nice!

The Art of Raffaele Marinetti: Cool Batman Graphics

Recently, while aimlessly surfing the internet, I came across a graphic artist's website who has done some really great sketches of Batman that I knew my readers would love to see. They're done by Raffaele Marinetti. Shown up above are 2 examples. It appears that he lives in Italy but his site is in English. Here's a link if you wanna check out more of his work.

THE GOTHAM TIMES Newspaper: Viral Marketing Websites For The Dark Knight Batman Movie

Recently, at special locations, Warner Brothers gave out a fake newspaper called The Gotham Times ( See large photo up above that is also a Desktop Wallpaper ). It looks like a real-life newspaper! It's even printed on the same kind of paper. In it there are fake ads for businesses you might see in a real newspaper. Well some of these fake companies have been popping up all over the internet. One of them is for the Gotham Police Department. Here's a picture of their website's header with the "Official GCPD Seal"...it looks VERY real! They even made a page for the Railway Transit System with a map & everything. The funny thing is they show the line to Wayne Towers being under-construction because, if you remember, in Batman Begins that section near the building was destroyed, ha ha!!

Here's a few links for some of the fake websites:

"Batman Anime" To Be Called BATMAN : GOTHAM KNIGHT

OK, We reported along time ago that Warner Bros was working with the concept of a special Batman Animated Feature to be released on DVD before THE DARK KNIGHT movie in 2008. They have finally released a little more information. The new title is BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHT. The stories' time-line happens directly between BATMAN BEGINS and THE DARK KNIGHT. Sort of a Dark Knight Prequel, if you will. The good news is that it will be directed by Bruce Timm, heck yeah! Writers include: Alan Burnett, Josh Olsen, Greg Rucka, David S, Goyer, Brian Azzarello, & Jordan Goldberg. The story will be told with six different shorts all linked together in some way. A few of the Japanese animation companies that will work on the segments will be Madhouse, Studio 4*C, & Production I.G. I know that Production I.G. has done a lot of work with"The Ghost in The Shell" & they do amazing work. This is sounding better & better all the time. I'm really excited about this, hope it's good.
