Vintage 1970's Batman Toys & 70's Memorabilia
OK, Some of you regular BAT-BLOG readers might have noticed that we have not posted anything for about 5 days but the deal was we took a vacation to Dallas, Texas. This is the longest period we have ever "not posted" so when I got up this morning all I wanted to do was post this right away! I thought showing some groovy 1970's Bat-Memorabilia would be cool so we hope you enjoy! The 1st item is the Super-Cool MEGO BATMAN COMMAND CONSOLE. This device worked with the Mego Walkie Talkies sort of like a main command center where you can contact your other friends. I mean, it wasn't just an imaginary toy but, it REALLY worked! I love the graphics on the box because it's the old-style Batman, sort of like a Neal Adams version...nice! The next cool vintage 70's Bat-Toy is a Corgi 2-Pack of the Die-Cast Batmobile Car & Batboat. And speaking of Neal Adams, they used some of his clip-art on the packaging! This is a very cool variation they called #2519. The 3rd Batman Toy from the seventies is this very ultra-rare BATMAN SIREN made by Empire ©1979. This was a battery operated toy that was meant to be attached to your bicycle's handlebars. The box says it had Super-Sonic Sound, "WOO-WOO-WOOOOO!". Remember, we have 600 different posts to enjoy that you don't even see on the main page!! To see them be sure to check out the BAT-BLOG ARCHIVES located on the right-side of the blog. Look for "April 2007" or "May 2007" & so on.

I just discovered this board the other week. In fact you were apparently vacationing in my hometown of Dallas while I was enjoying the site. Great stuff on here. Thanks for your work.
Thanx for the kind words, glad you enjoy it! Please check back often as we post almost every day.
Ah man, yes, we were in Dallas for almost a week. I love that town. We visited the Dallas Museum of Art & our other favorite place, Half-Price Books! I love that book store & could practically live there, ha ha.

Thanks again for the kind words.
I vaguely remember seeing the Command Console in an old catalog way back when.
