Vintage Magazine Covers with Batman & Robin

One of the quirky things to collect if you're a Batman Fan are some of the vintage magazines that feature Batman on the cover. Here's a few examples. The 1st one is the 28th issue of the KYA BEAT from Feb 5th, 1966. This was tabloid newspaper in San Francisco. I love the cover photo of Adam West. It almost looks like an Andy Warhol portrait or something, very cool. The 2nd magazine is FILMFAX # 16 from Aug 1989. Put out during the Tim Burton Batman Movie Craze this cover featured the Batman & Robin from the 1940's serials. This publication is not "as vintage" as the others but still pretty cool. The last cover is really great. It features a "Behind The Scenes" look of filming the 1966 Batman TV Series. You can see Burt Ward as Robin & Adam West as Batman but I really love seeing all the film crew & camera equipment, a neat photo from a cool angle. This is the June 1966 issue of AMERICAN CINEMATOGRAPHER. We hope some of these have brought back some fond memories. If any BAT-BLOG readers have some cool covers they would like to send & share then please do!

The Batman, making headlines along with the Beatles and the Stones!

Nice to see a Batman from one of the '40s serials getting a little coverage. They coulda used a Bat-Blog back then! I wonder whatever happened to the costumes used in those serials. How rare of a find would one of those be today>
