R.I.P. Eli Wallach - The Actor Who Played Mr. Freeze on the 1966 BATMAN TV Series

It's with a sad and heavy heart that I have to report that the Actor, Eli Wallach, has passed away. He had always been a favorite Actor of mine and he was in a ton of great films but, for me, he will always be remembered as "Mr. Freeze" on the 1960's BATMAN TV Show.

Rest In Peace Sir, you will be deeply missed and thank you for the wonderful memories of my childhood.

LA MUJER MURCIELAGO - The 1968 BATMAN Mexican Cult Film

Here's a nice opportunity to see a fun piece of Bat-History! In Mexico, back in 1968, there was a movie production company that made a "Batman" film called, "LA MUJER MURCIELAGO". The unique thing about the film was that the main character was a sexy "Batgirl" (or is she suppose to be "Batwoman"?). This movie has become a cult classic! You can watch it sometimes on YouTube. Check it out sometime, it's CRAZY!

Also, if you can get to eBay in the next few days, there's a company called "Posterazzi" who is selling all 6 Lobby Cards and 6 Promo Still Photos.

They're all shown, right here:

COSPLAY NEWS: Batman and the Justice League Spotted in Canada!

Hey Bat-Fans, Check out this awesome photo taken by Robert Dufault at this year's 2014 Ottawa Comic-Con. It features our good friend Dan Page who has a pretty amazing "Batman" costume. That's so cool and their costumes are totally GREAT!

Thanks Dan for sharing your fun pic :)

New BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT Action Figure BATMOBILE VEHICLE by Mattel!

Mattel recently shared a photo of what their BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT BATMOBILE CAR is gonna look like. Of course this is the version from the next video game. It also shows one of the many functions of the vehicle, it opens up! I really like this, it's pretty cool! My only gripe is I heard a rumor it's gonna be about $85 dollars. Yes, Eighty-Five bucks!

Here's their promotional copy:

In the video game, Batman™ battles all-new threats in Gotham City with the help of an arsenal-equipped vehicle. This Batman™: Arkham Knight Batmobilefeatures premium, highly-detailed deco and authentic sounds straight from the game, and much more!
The tires can do a complete 360-degree spin, allowing the vehicle to turn on a dime… very handy for pursuing villains. When the top of the vehicle is pressed downward the firepower is revealed: on the left side, a riot suppressor rubber bullet gun, and on the right side, a high-powered Gatling gun, both with sounds and light effects – straight from the game! Hold the activation button longer than three seconds to create a red glow, simulating heat transferring, and press the rear button to turn on the headlights and play the game’s iconic Bat-swarm sound effect. There are also controls to rev the engine, to see the exhaust light up, and for the sound of the cannon. The vehicle comes with an articulated DC Comics Multiverse Akrham City Batman figure with a fabric cape allowing Batman™ to sit in the driver’s seat!

BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT Real-Life Batmobile Car!

OK, maybe I should NOT have used the phrase "real-life" in the title because I don't think this thing is actually drive-able, ha! But you get the idea. Check out these amazing photos of a car that Warner Bros had built to showcase their new video game, BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT.

We're sure this thing will be appearing at most of this year's major Comic Book Conventions to promote the game.... KICK ASS!! Hey, if anyone out there gets a chance to see it in real-life (yes, a stupid PUN) please send us some pics. I love this new car!

Amazing BATMAN TATTOO ART From Around The World!

The Bat-Blog is pretty well known for sharing amazing Batman Tattoo Art, it's fun! Anyway, today could be called "International Day" because both of these examples are from around the globe.

First up, check out this wonderful Bat-Tat from a friend named Wilco. He lives in the Netherlands and he got this image to celebrate his Son. Batman is holding Scrabble Board Game Playing Pieces that spell-out his name, DEXX! That's very cool! It's actually very sweet and quite clever too.  I also like that it's a super iconic image of the Bat-Man!

Then, all the way from Austria, we got these pics from a friend named Dominik. He has TWO major Bat-Tats! One of them is the Joker, Heath Ledger version (on his leg), and then, a huge Bat-Symbol on his chest. Awesome!

Hey, if anybody out there gets some ink done please share a photo with us. Our email button is always on the top right-hand side of this page. Thanks.

Now I have not totally confirmed this, but this is supposed to be the BATMAN COWL that Mattel has plans to come out with (They also have a Bat-Belt in the works). I don't have ANY information yet on price or when it will be made available. But one thing is for sure, I'm gonna be camping out all night in front of the store to get mine, ha ha! I mean, I've been waiting for this item since I was 2 years old!! I'm also pretty impressed with the way it looks. The "eyebrows" look so awesome!
