OK, I just now realized I have not posted any FREE BAT-BLOG BATMAN WALLPAPERS in a very long time so here we GO! I made the first one out of a photo sent in to me from a friend who was sharing his Vintage Batman Toy Collection. 

He had some amazing stuff but this picture was one of my favorites, a 1966 BATMAN TOY Motorcycle Figure from the UK... Oh man, it's so extremely AWESOME!

Then, I recently re-watched BATMAN RETURNS again and it was great to see Michelle Pfeiffer as the CATWOMAN. So, here she is now, MMM-MEOW!

What Does THE RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK, STAR WARS and 1989 BATMAN Movies All Have in Common?

MIND, BLOWN! I had no idea that Jek Porkins in STAR WARS was also Major Eaton in RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK and... He was Lt. Eckhardt in the 1989 BATMAN movie!! 

This character actor's name is William Hootkins. Oh yeah, he also played a few small parts in "Superman IV: The Quest for Peace" and "Flash Gordon (1980)", among others. Yes, this guy gets around!

Sadly, he passed away in 2005 at the age of 57. But he will always be remember for his amazing roles.

#MARVEL VS DC COMICS - The Ultimate Crossover 3-D Animation Film #BATMAN #3D

Check out this amazing fan-made 3-D Animation Video featuring superheroes from both the Marvel and DC Comics universe! Yes, Batman is here and he's a major player, ha!

All the Visuals and Animation were done by Saruhan Saral, created using Blender and After Effects.

This is his first short film project. He started working on it in February 2015 and it took him 3 months to finish the whole thing. This is not a commercial trailer, but a personal project for him, and he is not affiliated with any company (i.e. I don't earn any money from this).

Now, he didn't MODEL any of the characters himself. They were taken from some video games made by these 2 companies but he did do the rigging and then animated the shots. 

Saruhan used Adobe After Effects and Premiere for composition. Most voice clips are from the video games, mostly from Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Injustice: Gods Among Us. Sound Effects were edited in Audacity.

WACKY #BATMAN NEWS - 1989 BATMOBILE MOVIE Replica Car Just Spotted in Canada!

OK, just to be clear, this is NOT the Batmobile from the new SUICIDE SQUAD Movie but it's a 1989 BATMAN Movie Replica Car spotted by our good friend, Rick Prinsthal. 

He said this car suddenly appeared on the Queen Elizabeth Highway, near Hamilton ON, Canada!

Oh man, it seems like every Canadian is going Batman Crazy! That's so cool!!

#BATMAN Spotted on #JOKER Car During Filming of SUICIDE SQUAD Movie in Toronto, Canada!

SPOILER ALERT:

Just a few days ago the Internet practically blew-up with the news (and tons of photos and video footage) of the Batmobile Prop Car making an appearance in the new SUICIDE SQUAD Movie. 

Now, there is a bunch of hype about BATMAN making an appearance. In this video right here we get to see the Caped Crusader (Stunt Man) riding on top of the Joker's car! People are already starting to call this vehicle, the "Joker Lambo" because, well duh, it's a Lamborghini!







Oh yeah, here's a better, sharper, photo of the Joker Lambo, or as I like to call it, the Jokermobile!

#BATMAN NEWS - #BATKID BEGINS Official Movie Trailer and Poster! #BatkidBegins

It’s November 15, 2013. Twenty-five thousand people descend on San Francisco. Online, two billion others join in. This massive crowd erupts with a collective display of public emotion rarely seen. It is his dream to become Batkid and save Gotham City. "Batkid Begins" chronicles the making of the overnight international phenomenon that is Batkid. 

The film reveals what happens when an event goes unintentionally viral. Will the San Francisco Make-A-Wish Foundation fulfill its mission to help Miles reclaim his childhood after battling disease for more than half his short life? Or will the event itself spiral out of control; consume the organization, scare Miles and shut down an entire city?

Audiences will come along as Patricia Wilson, executive director of the San Francisco Make-A-Wish chapter, and her team - in true superhero spirit - tackle the monster they created. 

Before Batkid, the largest crowd Patricia had organized was 300. She posts an RSVP on her website. Immediately 7,000 sign up. Soon the number is growing at 1,000 people a day, overwhelming Patricia’s team. Will the young boy’s dream 
get lost in a nightmare? 

Featuring exclusive illuminating interviews with all the main players including executives at Twitter and Apple, the film reveals surprising truths about what happens when a nerve is touched in our digital society. 

The film looks at the “why” of this phenomenon. Why did the intense outpouring of spontaneous support for a five-year-old reverberate around the world? In the end, the film leaves audiences to decide; did Miles need the world for inspiration? Or did the world need Miles?

Mike Summo's Classic 1966 Batman-Inspired Artwork Challenge!

He is a HUGE Batman Fan, as well as a very talented Artist, and he has challenged his self to create 66 pieces of unique fine art pieces dedicated to the Classic 1966 Batman TV Series by next June in honor of the 50th anniversary.

#BATMAN HISTORY - Bruno's Batcave 1966 KXOK Radio Spot

Listen down below for the KXOK Radio Spot for "Bruno's Batcave", 6324 West Florissant, St. Louis, MO. circa 1966.

Johnny Rabbitt and George Edick, along with another old friend, Jim Brown, came up with a plan to convert what had been part of an old Bowling Alley in the basement of the Club Imperial into an atmospheric, music-driven club for teens called "Bruno's Batcave"!

"BRUNO'S BATCAVE" became a world unto itself! Jim Brown was the first Manager,and Johnny King signed on as Assistant Manager. Since Johnny Rabbitt's KXOK shift was 7:00 to Midnight, he needed friends he could count on to keep things running smoothly, and to solve any problems that could come up... and to watch out for his interests in Bruno's Batcave opened in the Spring of 1966. (Ernie Cummings, who managed The Klassmen, became Manager when Jim Brown left on October 21, 1966.)

"Bruno's" was turned into a dark, caverness place. With a "Bat Tunnel" for the entrance and black walls with 'Bat Murals' all around it was the ULTIMATE Club for teens to "see and be seen in"! 

They had some of the greatest local bands that you could want: Steve Cummings and The Klassmen, with Gayle McCormick, was pretty much the House Band.

To the mix were added: Walter Scott of The Guise, The Aardvarks, Barry Ebeling and The Invaders, Hoss and The Lords, etc...

PLUS, with the help of some local Record Promo guys, they had some National groups that would come through occasionally like The Cryan Shames, The Blues Magoos. Other featured Stars that they had at the "Batcave" included B.J. Thomas, and the talented Billy Preston.

Awesome #BATMAN TATTOO ART Spotted in the Czech Republic!

A friend of ours on the BAT-BLOG FACEBOOK Page was kind enough to share some wonderful photos showing his new Batman Tattoo Art he just got. It's the "Dark Knight Trilogy" version of the character and the artwork came out really good.

His name is Roman and he said he plans on adding a few more characters with a background of Gotham City. Sounds Awesome! We can't wait to see the finished product, but it's looking great so far!

New DC COMICS BOMBSHELLS Merchandise Out Now! #DCComics

Ever since DC Comics released a new line of products known as "DC COMICS BOMBSHELLS" it seems that their popularity has grown. They started out with some Art Print Posters done in a "Vintage 1940's Pin-Up Style" and they sold so well they started to make Collector Statues and Busts.

Well, not they're making a Comic Book, Window Decals (shown way down below) and these Ceramic Coffee Mugs! Oh yeah, the mugs appear to be black in color and then when you add a hot liquid to them the design graphics appear.

Also, I gotta say as a huge fan of "Vintage Pin-Up" Culture, that I really love these retro-style girls. They look so cool!

Oh yeah, and here's some Window Decals for your car!

New #BATMAN TOYS, Action Figures and Products Coming Soon! #GOTHAM #ARKHAMKNIGHT

For this post I decided to share some random photos of various "Batman" Products that will be coming out. Actually, the BATMAN HOUSE KEYS are in stores right now (you can find them at Home Depot), but everything else will be released later. Stay tuned to the Bat-Blog for news on when they officially come out. I don't know exact release dates yet. These photos were "teaser images" from the various toy companies.

In the 2nd photo here we get to see a new addition to the UK-based toy line, BATMOBILE AUTOMOBILIA. It looks like they're gonna add the BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT Batmobile Car to their collection, awesome!

Then, DC Collectibles has plans to release a whole series of action figures revolving around the characters from the GOTHAM TV Show. Here we get to see the Penguin, James "Jim" Gordon, and Selina Kyle (Catwoman). Wow! The faces on these are pretty good!

OK, I'm pretty sure this pic has been around awhile but I just saw it recently and thought it was cool so I'm sharing it. Here's a photo showing the Actress Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn from the new SUICIDE SQUAD movie.

But the main reason I wanted to share it is because it also gives us a good idea at what KILLERCROC is gonna look like! This character will be played by the Actor, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. (Whoa! I don't even know how to pronounce that name, ha!)

New #BATMAN #BATMOBILE Replica Car To Appear at #BATCAT MUSEUM OF TOYS in Thailand!

OK, I had to do this quick post to share this fun photo I got the other day from my good friend Somchay (a.k.a. Bat-Cat). It appears that he bought himself a Batmobile Replica Car! Yes, this guy is a pretty serious Batman Fan and I guess he felt he needed a new car so... here we go!

Now, I don't know if he bought this for his personal collection or if he plans to showcase it at his Toy Museum. Oh yeah, Somchay owns the famous BATCAT TOY MUSEUM in Thailand and I'm guessing he bought it to display there. 

That place is filled with tons of cool stuff like this and, while they cover a lot of different movie & cartoon characters, it's main focus is "Batman". So, I bet this car will be on display there later.

HEEE HAAAWW! Well, it looks like one of the Six Flags Amusement Parks (Texas location maybe?) has placed a Custom Replica Batmobile in it's theme park as decoration. Hey, I don't remember this car ever having six tires, but that's OK, it looks kinda cool!

#BATMAN TOY COLLECTOR NEWS - JUSTICE LEAGUE Rubber Duckies Spotted at Walgreens!

Here's a quick post to share some "Batman Toy Collector" News. A new contributor to the BAT-BLOG, named Greg but also known as "Red Hood", found these JUSTICE LEAGUE Rubber Duckies at Walgreens. He said they are an exclusive product of that Drug Store and they're only $2.00 each!

I forgot to ask if there are more characters. I'm guessing they probably also made Green Lantern and Wonder Woman too. But here are the Flash, Batman, and Superman!! (You know which ONE I'm gonna buy, ha ha).

SUICIDE SQUAD Movie News - MORE New Photos of Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn! #SuicideSquad

More photos have leaked out showing the Actress, Margot Robbie, as Harley Quinn. In the first one we also get a good look at Will Smith as Deadshot. 

I gotta be honest, I'm not really digging the "look of this film" so far. But I'm hopeful that it will be good, who knows. I have been wrong many times. We'll see.

New HOT WHEELS 2015 Pop Culture #BATMAN Classic '66 TV Series

Mattel has added 6 brand-new 2015 "Batman Pop Culture" Hot Wheels cars that every fan of the Classic 1966 TV Series is gonna want! I had trouble finding decent photos of these, especially the ones of the Penguin and the Riddler (sorry), but these pics give you a pretty good idea. 

These are showing up on eBay already so apparently they are out now. The last photo down below shows what the Store Display Box looks like and I gotta say, "I TOTALLY LOVE THAT HEADER CARD AND IT WILL BE MINE!".
